Duncan Hughes
Duncan was born in Hobart in 1952 and has always lived here believing it is a great place to raise a family. He started work at 16 as an apprentice motor mechanic at Tilford Motors and left at the end of his apprenticeship.
Having worked mostly in the automotive industry including as a branch manager for a tyre company, before retirement he worked for the State Education Department at various schools as a school attendant, mostly doing maintenance.
Duncan has been a member of the Claremont Men's Shed for around 7 years and the last 2 as President. 'I really enjoy my time at the shed for the mateship and being able to help and support fellow members of the Shed'.
